Woodsson Graeber Woods, known affectionately as Woody, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024, in Greensboro, NC, at the age of 51.

Woody was born on September 13, 1972 to Dr. and Mrs. Wayne and Jacqueline Woods in Myrtle Beach, SC. Woody graduated from Page High School in 1990 before earning a degree in Economics and Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994. He was well-loved for his wit, caring nature, and the ability to light up any room with his laughter and smart conversations.

Woody was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Wayne G. Woods. He leaves behind a loving family: his mother, Jacqueline Woods; children, Sierra Woods and Camden Woods, and Michelle Woods, mother of his children; brother, Jamil Woods (Mia); sister, Karlea Evans (Ahmed); niece, Karmyn Evans; nephew, Adrian Evans; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Woody will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of kindness and friendship will forever be remembered. His family and friends find comfort in knowing he rests in paradise. Flowers and/or memorial contributions to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, dedicated to Woodsson Woods, are welcome.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 in the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro; visitation with the family begins at 1:30 pm followed by the service at 2:00 pm.
