Willie Andrecia Jones McAdoo was born October 23, 1949 to the late Andrew Otis Jones Sr. and Willie Mae Jones in Guilford County, North Carolina. She departed this life on October 19, 2023 at her rehabilitation facility after dealing with a string of illnesses.
Andrecia was educated in the Greensboro City Public School system. She graduated from James B. Dudley Senior High School in 1968. She also attended Guilford Technical Community College where she earned a certificate in Office Administration.
She worked in the healthcare and haircare industries for a number of years. She retired as an Office Assistant at Aetna US Healthcare. After retirement, she began a second career in telesales at Ashtae Products, Inc. Andrecia was a proud member of Bass Chapel United Methodist Church for most of her life. She sang in the Bass Chapel Senior Choir and served as a choir director of the children's choir.
Andrecia was preceded in death by her father Andrew, her brother Alfred Jones, and special someone near and dear to her heart and the father of her two boys, Walter L. McAdoo.
She leaves to celebrate her life and memory her mother, Willie Mae Jones; two sons, Brian D. McAdoo and Bronson D. McAdoo Sr. (Sigmaro); one grandson, Bronson D. McAdoo Jr., three sisters; Doris Jessup, Peggy Hill (Quinton) and Catherine Jones; one brother, Andrew O. Jones Sr. (Monica) and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and extended family.
There will not be a public viewing per the family request.
A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Bass Chapel UMC, 5075 Bass Chapel Road, Greensboro; visitation with the family begins at 1:00 pm followed by the service at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
