GREENSBORO — Walter Anthony Alston, Jr. "T.J. /Dip" age 26, passed away, Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at East White Oak Baptist Church, 1815 Water Street, Greensboro, NC. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
TJ/Dip" was born October 7, 1985 in Greensboro, NC to Teresa D. Herbin and Walter "Tony" Alston, Sr. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gene Lee Bell; Grandmother, Lucy Smith; and step-grandfather, Roland Smith.
He is survived by his mother Teresa Herbin, of the home,his father, Walter "Tony" Alston, Sr. (Sharon); two sisters: Jasmine Milton and Devida Alston; two step-sisters: Faith and Hope Leach; two step-brothers: Daniel Leach & Damien Foxx; grandmother, Juanita Settle; step-grandmother, Minnie Alston; grandfather, James Alston; great-grandmother, Lucy Tonkins Craig Fairley; nephew Ezekiel Alston and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 6, 2012 from 12 to 1 p.m. at East White Oak Baptist Church, 1815 Water Street, Greensboro, NC and other times at the homes of Teresa Herbin and Walter Alston, Sr.
