IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tyrone Richard
Singleton
June 27, 1959 – June 29, 2021
Tye Richard Singleton was born June 27, 1959 in the Bronx, New York. He studied at Aviation High School and graduated from Roosevelt High School in New York City in 1977. Tye has always been a person bigger than life. He was an Avid street hockey player growing up until learning the sport of bowling from his mother, in which he went on to reach a semi-professional bowling status. Tye received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from South Carolina State University and was inducted as member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Tye started his career as a school teacher and then transitioned toward sales, where loved to talk and build relationships. He found his passion and most accomplishments working for the News & Records, and viewed his clients as family.
Tye is survived by his sisters, Diane and Joann; nieces, Hadiyah, Channel, Natily; nephews, Nashid, Nathaniel III, Lamar, Jamal; and a host of great nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
Heaven has gained a new Angel; we know he is watching over us until we meet again.
