IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tyna Lynne
Epps

Tyna Lynne Epps 57, born to the late Benjamin and Nancy Epps on April 07, 1964 in Guilford County took her rest Wednesday, June 30th, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital.
"Tonya" as she was affectionately graced by was a "South Side" native to the City of Greensboro, NC. Tonya was educated in the Guilford County Public School System later graduating from Grimsley High School. Following high school, she then perused a career path in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant. While being a CNA, Ms. Tonya then later took on the precious job of being the full time caregiver of her parents. Ms. Tonya later dedicated her life to Christ by joining Swift Street A.M.E Zion Church and up until the time of rest she attended Sharp Road Church of Christ.
Ms. Tonya, some would say, was the life of every and any event she attended. She was a rare light that shined all throughout the crowd. Funny as can be she was. There was never a dull moment when she was around. With that being said Ms. Tonya loved to host during the holidays. A cook indeed she was. Cooking was something Tonya enjoyed and loved with a passion. You could just about taste the love in every bite.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Leaving to cherish her loving memories are her husband, Gary Westmorland of Greensboro NC; one son, Ethan Epps (Farrah Shepherd) of Greensboro NC; one daughter, Tila Epps (Trina Gillespie) of Greensboro, NC; five grandchildren, Kamaya Epps and Ke'Ron Epps of Winston Salem NC, Serenity Epps of Greensboro, NC, Kaydence Epps and Aurdranna Epps of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Debra Burrell of Greensboro, NC and Chandra Searcy of Greensboro, NC; three brothers, Russel Epps of Catawba County, James Epps of Denver, Colorado, and Rodney (Tonya) Epps of Greensboro, NC; an adopted family, Wanda and Lisa Little of Thomasville, NC; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Special Thank You's to the twins Patricia and Pamela Hopkins of Greensboro, NC, to Green Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation staff and to the nursing staff of Moses Cone Hospital for your loving and heartfelt care.
