IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thelma Renee'
Taylor
February 18, 1955 – August 30, 2025
Mrs. Thelma Renee' Taylor, 70 of Greensboro, NC died Saturday August 30, 2025.
Born to Lorenzo and Emma Watson, she grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She later married Charles Taylor, with whom she shared many cherished years. She leaves to treasure her memory her devoted son, Tyrone Taylor, her daughter-in-law, Joy Taylor, and her beloved granddaughter, Jasmine Taylor. She was educated in the Atlantic City public school system and went on to earn an associate degree in health care. She faithfully worked in practical nursing until her health no longer allowed her to continue. She is preceded in death by three siblings: Winerd "Butch" Watson, Walter Smiley, and Lorenzo Allen Watson. She is survived by Joseph "Jake" Smiley, James "Buddy" Smiley, Augusta "Sister" Smiley, Gary Smiley, Joanna Smiley, and her sister-in-law, Ernestine Watson, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was a woman of many gifts — blessed with a beautiful singing voice and a love for music of every genre. She was also a talented cook, enjoyed swimming at the YMCA, and had a passion for traveling. A true social butterfly, she delighted in spending time with her wide circle of friends. Her nieces and nephews often turned to her as a safe haven, and she was deeply loved by everyone who had the joy of knowing her. Her life was a shining example of love, joy, and resilience, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends
