Terrell Marcellus King, 53, of Petersburg, Virginia was born on October 26,1968. He peacefully entered into rest January 1, 2022 at Duke University Hospital.
Terrell was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Waverly, Virginia where he was baptized at an early age. As a young boy he sang in the Children's Tot Church Choir, Junior Choir, and Youth Choir. Terrell graduated from Sussex Central High School Class of 86'. He graduated with a B.A in Mass Communications and a Minor in Art Designs at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Class of 1990'. Athleticism was marinated in his bloodstream, in his lifetime he participated in Basketball and Baseball within his youth and college years. Terrell met his wife Andre'a H. King while working at Sears as a sales rep. Together they both created a family and continued their spiritual beliefs as members of Shiloh Baptist Church in 1997, under the leadership of Dr. T. E. Kilgoe where all 3 of his daughters were baptized. Terrell dedicated 25 years of his work career to American Express in customer service. He was promoted to Supervisor in his last few years with the company.
Terrell was a devoted partner to his wife, Andre'a H. King of 29 years. He was an amazing father to their daughters Jessica Ciantel King (Eric), Sherrell Lynn King and Andre'a Monique King (Jerry). Terrell also known as "Papi T" was the grandfather to Ethan King Freeman and soon to be granddaughter, Audrey Lynnel Shippy . Terrell leaves to cherish the memories of his life, his father, Lloyd H. King, Sr.; mother, Theresa H. King; sister Jennifer Alfreida King; brother, Lloyd H. King, Jr. (Pamela); niece, Madison Lloyd King; and adopted nephews, Caleb McMillian and Julius McMillian.
Terrell chose to live his life through his favorite expression "One Love", defined as unity of family and friends expressed through love and compassion. He will truly be missed, and his love endures forever.
