Stanley A. Crawford was born on September 24, 1954, to the late Ben A. and Geneva Crawford.  He transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, July 20th, 2023.

​He graduated from Hobbton High School class of 1972.  Upon completion of high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served several years.

Stanley's faith journey began at an early age and embarked on a devoted path as a member of The Faith, Hope and Charity Holiness Church in Greensboro.  Affectionately known as "Stanman & Big Poppa" by his family and friends.  Stanley married Patricia Crawford and were gifted with four sons.  Later in life he married Patricia O. Crawford. He was employed with Mother Murphy where he retired after many years of service. "Stanman" loved gospel music, watching movies, spending time with his family and loved eating homemade peach cobbler made by his friend Ms. Pat.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his wife, Patricia O. Crawford; son, Tevin and a host of friends and family.

Stanley leaves to cherish his memory three sons; Ben (LaToya) Crawford and Terry Crawford both of Greensboro NC; Llewellyn (Gwendolyn) Hicks of Clayton NC; seven grandchildren; Jasmine Myles and Kamille Hicks both of Clayton NC; Journie Staton, Abyssinia Hurd,Nehemiah Torain and Janiyah Williams all of Greensboro NC; TyleeCrawford of Maryland; two brothers; Joe Crawford and Darius Lee (Phyllis) Crawford both of Greensboro NC; three sisters; Patricia Long, Jean (Ernest) Martin and Joyce Kimber all of Greensboro NC.  He also leaves a special friend Kamika Slade and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Public viewing of Mr. Crawford is 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday the 25th in Hargett Funeral Service  905 East Market Street  Greensboro, NC. The Homegoing Celebration is Wednesday July 26, 2023 in The Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel of Hargett Funeral Service; visitation with the family is 12:30 p.m., the service begins at 1:00 p.m.
