Stacy Lee Simpson Jr. arrived as a bundle of joy on May 25th, 1981. He was born in Long Island, New York to Bonnie Musgrove and Stacy Lee Simpson Sr. As a bright and intelligent young man, who was growing into the full life of adulthood and learning life itself, his life was unexpectedly taken away. On October 13th, 2017, Stacy was involved in an unthinkable pedestrian accident. He suffered from life threating injuries. Stacy closed his eyes at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. At the age of 36, Stacy was taken from us and will be truly missed.
Stacy was a funny and smooth type of dude. He was a natural when it comes to creating lyrically masterpieces and swift dance moves. When you hear him flow the words were captivating! He made you want to get up and dance. Stacy had raw talents in sports. He had spectacular skills in basketball, football and was an all-around athlete.
Stacy's creativity was one of a kind. He could sketch anything put in front of him and any idea that was brought to him. In addition, Stacy was an extraordinary and loving son, brother and uncle. He showed everyone around him the true meaning of unconditional love.
Stacy Lee Simpson Jr. is preceded in death by his late grandparents, Annie B. & Levy Musgrove and Herman & Inez Simpson.
He leaves behind his mother, Bonnie Musgrove; father, Stacy Lee Simpson, Sr.; two brothers, Steven Musgrove & Shawn Musgrove; one sister, Shawnice Simpson; one nephew, Steven Musgrove Jr.; one niece, Quanasia Musgrove, and host of cousins, friends, and relatives.
A homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro. Visitation with the family begins at 11:30 am followed by the service at 12:00 pm.
