Obituary
GREENSBORO - Mr. Sanford "June" Branch, Jr., 83, was born in Guilford County on April 9, 1929 to the late Sanford and Beatrice Branch. He departed this life Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Hospice of the Piedmont, High Point, NC after a lengthy illness.
A Homegoing Service will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Celia Phelps United Methodist Church, 3709 Groometown Road, Greensboro. Family visitation will begin at 11:30 am with the service at 12:00 pm.
Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Sanford attended Goshen School. He was co-owner of Branch's Body Shop.
Sanford always enjoyed talking abou the Lord and His cause, and always kept his Bible close at hand. Although he was in poor health for several years, he never complained. He bore his illness patiently and would often try to make members of the family feel that he was not suffering. He chose to tell the Lord about his suffering.
One brother, James William Branch, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Bobbie (Walter) Crawford, and Rebecca Branch; sons, Timothy (Carol) Branch of High Point, NC, Clay Branch, Phillip (Paula) Branch, and Kenneth Branch, all of Greensboro, NC, and Elder Lawrence W. (Jacqueline) Moore, Lakeland, FL; aunt, Margaret Gladney, Greensboro; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
