Obituary

Peggy Troxler Moore was born on April 16, 1945 to the union of Walter Lee and Lillie Maude Troxler. Mrs. Moore married the love of her life, James Moore on May 20, 1980.

She worked in housekeeping in the 1980s, including owning her own cleaning company. She founded The Prayer Warriors, a choir, in the 1980s and helped found several churches. For her work in the community, she received a certificate of appreciation on July 30, 1997 in recognition of her dedication and outstanding service to North Carolina. She also received a certificate of appreciation from Abundant Life Fellowship Church of Greensboro on April 18, 1993 for "service beyond the call of duty." And she was ordained as a deaconess by the church on June 6, 1993.

The passing of Peggy Troxler Moore has brought sadness and tears to her family who mourns today. But they mourn with the hope that is in Christ Jesus and the knowledge that she is at peace.

Mrs. Moore leaves a legacy of loving memories with: her devoted husband, James Moore of Greensboro, NC; her sons, Tony Troxler (Susie) of High Point, NC and Willie Troxler (Crescent) of Thomasville, NC; and her daughters, Benita Ortiz (Jaime) of Greensboro, NC and Geraldine (Calvin) of Rochester, NY. She also leaves many cherished memories with: Her sisters-in-law, Edith Conyers, Elaine Moore, Mary Richardson, Audrey Faison, and Nettie Austin; and her brothers-in-law, Dave Moore and Jerome Moore; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Peggy Troxler Moore went home to be with the LORD on December 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Girtharene Patterson and Annie Potts; one brother, Willie Troxler; and one great-granddaughter, Lakeithia Troxler.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Moore continued in the works of the Lord. She was blessed by GOD and has now entered into her rest.

A homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro.  Visitation with the family begins at 11:30 am followed by the service at 12:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
