Mrs. Octavia Elizabeth Johnson, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2010 in Riverside, California. She was born in Winnsboro, SC.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rev Morris L. Johnson Sr. and son Robert L. Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Morris L. Johnson Jr, Lela Jones (Dr. Harold Jones) Nancy Johnson (Dr. Herschell Dennis) Lawrence Johnson (Patsy Johnson). Her grandchildren, Crystal Andrews (Reginald Andrews) Valerie A Jones, Lela D.Dennis, Le Wanna Cofield (Orlando Cofield) Tamika Johnson, Shavonne Pugh (Will Pugh), Zaire H Dennis. 14 great grand children, nine nephews- nieces and a host of friends.
The wake will be held at the Hargett Funeral Home 905 E. Market Street. Friday September 24, 2010 from 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Poplar Grove AME Church, September 25, 2010, at 11 a.m., 5504 Summit Avenue,Greensboro, NC. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, on Highway 29.
