Monica Renae Deal Graham was born on February 27, 1968 to the late Donald Beatty and Alice Deal in Greensboro, NC. On Thursday, December 24, 2021, Monica passed away peacefully.

Monica grew up in Greensboro, NC.  She was educated in the Guilford County School System and worked a variety of jobs which includes a supervisor at Harris Teeter, a nutritional services supervisor at Cone Health for 20 years, and a food service supervisor at UNCG before her passing.

She loved to spend time with her family, laugh, talk on the phone, and most importantly cook a variety of food.  She was an incredible person who was always willing to give her last to anyone she could.  She will be missed.

In addition to her parents Alice Deal and Donald Beatty, she was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Rosetta Beatty and Lilly Mae Bailey.

She leaves to cherish precious memories to her daughter, Sherise Graham; son, Marcus Chaney; aunts, Beverly "Cookie" Clement, Regina Beatty, and Bertina Beatty; uncles, Anthony Steeple, Leroy Lamago Steeple, and Ronald Beatty (Faye); granddaughter, Kuu'lani; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Hargett Funeral Service, Inc., 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

A homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 in New Hope Baptist Church, 306 S. English Street, Greensboro. Visitation with the family begins at 11:30 am followed by the service at 12:00 pm.  Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
