Mr. Michael B. Freeman, beloved son of Benjamin G. Freeman, III and Frances D. Freeman, nee DeShield, departed his earthly tabernacle on May 29, 2020 in Greensboro, NC.  Michael enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews, and young cousins.  He was especially fond of Tipper and Diamond, his aunt's dogs.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to mourn and celebrate his homegoing a host of relatives including his siblings, Fatu Freeman-Stewart (John), Gloria Freeman-Fromayan (Dave), Daniel Freeman, Bonita Freeman, Alice Dillon Scott, and Jackie Freeman Babou; daughter, Kenya Barnes; aunts, Sadie DeShield, McRinna DeShield, Earlenen DeShield; uncle, Russell DeShield (Famatta); cousins, Corann Okorodudu, Emma (Weetu) Hoff; and members of the Freeman, DeShield, Gardiner, Knuckles, Urey, and Wordsworth families of Liberia.  May the soul of our dear Michael rest serenely in the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ.

The family will have a private service Friday June 12, 2020.  Hargett Funeral Service is assisting the family.
