Obituary

On February 4, 2021, Mary Tate Stephens with humility, dignity, and love of family stepped into the Kingdom.  The gates of Heaven were opened wide to receive her, and she was welcomed by the Master as she rested in the arms of Jesus.

Mary was a lifetime member of Shiloh.  She was a Deaconess, Missionary, and a member of the Helping Hand Club.  A legacy of love for Shiloh was instilled in her by her parents who were both members.  Mary was born September 27, 1933 to William and Mary Tate.  She always felt blessed to have had five brothers of whom preceded her in death along with her parents.  As she worked to raise three of her grandchildren and send them to college, she never ceased to thank God for his many blessings.  She would often say she never would have made it without God's help.

Left to mourn her passing, three sons, Profandro (Drody), Michael and wife Vanessa of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Greg; one daughter, Jewel; seven grandchildren; and a wealth of great grandchildren.

A public viewing will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Hargett  Funeral Service, Inc., 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro.
