Mrs. Mary Louise Thomas Hopkins, 72, of 4402 Belfield Street, went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness on Tuesday, September, 21, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Palliative Care Unit in Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was a faithful member of Old Landmark Church in Greensboro. She was formerly employed by T J Maxx of Greensboro and later became a dedicated homemaker.
A native of Mt. Gilead, N.C., she was the daughter of the late James Pemberton and Fannie Thomas. She was the wife of James J. Hopkins, who survives.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include sons, Joseph Campbell of Fort Washington, MD, Randy Campbell (Delia) of Greensboro; daughters, LeRhonda C. Ramsuer (Timothy) of Charlotte, N.C., Candance Mowry of Honolulu, HI, Karen Hayes of Greensboro; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one cherished brother and sister, James Haywood (Jackie) of Greensboro, and Addie Little of Washington, DC.
The funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, September 25, 2010 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, with Bishop Williard Austin officiating.
Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Public viewing will be Friday, September 24, 2010 from 12 - 8 p.m. at Hargett Funeral Service and one half hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends and guests at the residence
