Marque Anthony Welch was born on March 26, 1976 in Forsyth County to Princess Downing nee Welch and the late Ronnie Wright. He passed away peacefully on September 17, 2020.

Marque was educated at Northwest High School.  Shortly after high school he entered into the United States Marines.  He was employed at the US Postal Service as a truck driver for many years.

He loved golf, fishing, playing Fortnite, and listening to Country music.  He was a generous, nonjudgmental, funny, and smart man.  He always gave without asking for anything. One can talk to him about any and everything.  He was able to make anyone laugh and always had answers to everyone's questions.

He leaves to cherish precious memories:  wife, Sherone Jennings; daughters, Shayna Elizabeth Welch and Autumn Renee Welch; mother, Princess Downing; sister, Tomea Welch of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Gerard Wright of Greensboro, NC and Brandon Wright of Reidsville, NC; and a host of other family, friends, and relatives.

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm. A private service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro.  Visitation with the family begins at 12:30 pm followed by the service at 1:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Winston Salem, NC 27104.
