Margaret Prince Swann born April 17 was the daughter of the late Reverend George and Jeanetta Prince. She was born in Lee county and was the middle child of six children. Margaret quietly and peacefully went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2023 unexpectedly. She retired from Industry of the Blind after 12 years of service, and attended New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Rankin and daughter, Sandra Swann. Margaret leaves to cherish her five children: Tineal Prince, Lillington, NC; Spencer Swann (Lynn), Kelly Dixon (James), Cedric Swann (Tonya); Tasha Holsey (Darryl)all of Greensboro, NC; three brothers, Grover Prince (Shirlee) Cameron, NC, George Prince, Jr, (Theresa) Greensboro, NC, Jerry Prince, (Melissa) Broadway, NC; two sisters, Betty Wilson (Bernard) Oxon Hill, Maryland and Ruth Dukes (Walter) Sanford, NC; six grandchildren, Keosha Swann, Joshua and Jamar Deans, Victoria and Josh Boyd, and Jeremy Elliott, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Public viewing of Mrs. Swann is 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday the 13th in Hargett Funeral Service 905 East Market Street Greensboro, NC. The visitation with the family and Homegoing Service is 11:30 a.m. and 12 noon respectively Tuesday November 14, 2023 in New Zion Missionary Baptist Church 408 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive Greensboro, NC,  followed by interment in Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N 'Ohenry Blvd. (Hwy 29) Greensboro, NC
