IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Fox
Guero
July 13, 1956 – January 13, 2022
Margaret Fox Guero, the youngest daughter of the late Obile Fox and Lillie Mae (Lamb), was born on July 13, 1956 and was raised in Philadelphia by her parents and with her 8 siblings. She attended Barrett Jr. High School and Edward Bok Technical High School.
Margaret at heart was a homemaker. She loved to cook and made sure that you ate all her food. She loved hoagies, sweets, soul food and especially a good pound cake. She loved music and had a passion for reading. She loved to dress well, and she passed along to us her flair for fashion
Margaret's most proudly worn titles included wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Later during her adult life, Margaret relocated her family to Greensboro, NC where she met and married Assoumane Guero and started a career in hospitality and ultimately switched into the healthcare industry as a certified nurse assistant; work that she enjoyed as one who loved people.
Margaret departed this world and ascended to eternal glory peacefully surrounded by her family at Moses Cone Hospital on Thursday, January 13, 2022. She will truly be missed, and her love endures forever. We, her family and friends will miss her immensely.
Margaret was beautiful and was mostly known for her radiant smile that could light up a room. Unwavering in her faith, clear minded, focused and driven, she was a praying woman who would dive into her healing scriptures and immerse herself in worship music.
While at times she could be boisterous and could stir the pot, she loved her family with all her heart. She was full of life, outgoing, friendly, and very active. She enjoyed traveling, meeting new people and made friends easily wherever she went. She was caring, sweet, nurturing, loving, giving, and found comfort in being with her family, who were dearest to her heart. Full of love, with a vibrant smile, it was hard to remain upset with her. Margaret was a dedicated wife, a great mother and an adoring grandmother who wore her heart on her sleeve. She could always be found laughing and smiling if she wasn't sick. She was genuine, blunt, yet very forgiving.
Always savvy and quick on her feet, she was thoughtful and looked out for everyone she loved. "Don't' put off until tomorrow what you can do today was her motto." She was a true go-getter, strong, courageous, fearless, and determined even if she had to literally run people over. She enjoyed people and was loyal if she cared about you.
The legacy that she has given to us is one we will never forget. She has instilled in us the value of family. Your loyalty to us all, your courage for us all and your perseverance through it all is certainly a legacy that we will all cherish for as long as we live. We love you, Mom and we miss you. We are not saying goodbye, we are just saying goodnight… we'll see you later.
II Timothy 4:7 says "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
She leaves to cherish her memory, forever in the hearts of her family, namely her husband Assoumane; two sons, Kenneth, John; 2 daughters, Nadirah, Symone; one daughter in law, Darlene; 4 grandchildren; Kaseem, Nyasia, John Jr, Khyri; 2 great-grandchildren Zayden, Zoe; one sister; Anne Fox Crawford; one brother Dwayne (Moo Moo) Fox, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and special childhood friends; Pearl Barnes, Laverne Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, James, Ellis, Thomas (Pookie), Jefferson (Pumpkin), David; and her sister, Elizabeth (Tudy).
