GREENSBORO - Mrs. Margaret "Marge" Rutledge Diggs, the second child of Joshua and Bernice Rutledge of Georgetown, SC, was born on June 17, 1938. She departed this life on Sunday, November 27, 2011 in Greensboro.
She was a warm, caring, outgoing, individual whose smile and mild demeanor immediately won you over. She loved her church and was a willing worker, always ready to assist where needed. She enjoyed being with her family, traveling, cooking and reading. She loved people and her love of teaching made her love for children extra special. She enjoyed singing in the choir, playing the piano and playing computer games.
Affectionately called Mama and Granny, will be greatly missed as she touched so many lives with her love and care.
Homegoing service is scheduled for Friday, December 2; visitation 12 p.m. with service 1 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 200 N. Regan Street, Greensboro.
