Lillie Lucreta Goins, 105, of Greensboro, NC, passed away peacefully on December-25-2024,         surrounded by the love of her family and friends.  She was born on September 26, 1919, to Dennis Fox and Myrtle Prince. Lucreta lived a life full of grace, resilience, and unwavering faith, leaving   a legacy that will be cherished for generations.

A beloved matriarch and pillar of her community,    Lucreta was known for her boundless kindness, sharp wit, and dedication to family and friends. Her wisdom, earned through more than a century of life, inspired everyone who had the  privilege of knowing her. She often shared stories  of triumphs and challenges, offering lessons of perseverance and hope.

Lucreta was a longtime member  of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she found joy in fellowship and service. She was an avid gardener, a masterful cook, and a devoted friend who never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand or share a kind word.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Goins {Wilma} and Jimmy Goins; daughter, Mary Duncan {Bill}, sister, Nathifa Razzak; grandchildren, Tambra, Jeff, Aretha,  Reggie, Denzell, Morgan,  great and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded by son, Gordon Jr, grandson Rodney five (5) brothers and three (3) sisters. Her family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the  caregivers and  friends who supported her in her later years.

Lucreta Goins will forever be remembered for her enduring spirit, her deep love for others, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. She was truly a gift to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, January 3 at Hargett Funeral Service, Inc., 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, January 4 in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 2700 W. Vandalia Road, Greensboro; visitation with the family begins at 12:00 pm followed by the service at 1:00 pm.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
