Lolita Diane Owens was born in Niagara Falls, New York on March 22, 1968 to Veronica Cary and the late Andre Owens. On the day of March 3, 2017 our precious Lolita entered the gates of our heavenly Father.

A caring and loyal mother, daughter, sister and niece, Lolita continued her family tradition of being an honest and loving person, by always being the strength and guide to those around her.

Her desire to give more, led Lolita to better herself through education and the church. While completing her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, as she followed her path of helping others by working as a Certified Nurse and eventually a Licensed Nurse Practitioner.

Immediately after giving birth to her only child Calvin, she not only completed high school, but set a series of educational goals for herself as she obtained her Word Processor Certification, applied it as a billing clerk, attended the Bosie Business Institute for her certification as a Nursing Assistant, applied it at the Waterfront Nursing Home and the Episcopal Nursing Home in Buffalo, New York. In 1999, Lolita received her LPN.

In 2000, she graduated from Erie County Community College as a Registered Nurse and in 2001 she was offered a job in Greensboro, North Carolina as a Registered Nurse at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Lolita and Calvin moved to North Carolina so she could begin her career at Kindred Hospital where she worked from 2001 to 2008. In 2008, she continued sharing her knowledge of the medical field as an ICU nurse at Alamance Regional Hospital. In July 2015, Lolita graduated from South University proudly earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing where she continued working at Alamance Regional Hospital until she learned of her illness.

Even at a young age Lolita always had a love for church. Lolita was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. She then became a member of New Testament Revival Center where she then sang with the choir along with her sister, Andrea. She and her family then became a member of Refuge Temple of Buffalo where she began her training to be a missionary. After her move to NC she found her church home at Refuge Temple of Burlington, NC. She continued her missionary training under the leadership of Reginald Davis and Lady Charity Davis.

Lolita was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ada Carter-Cary; brother, Samson Sealey; and uncle, Leway Cary all of Niagara Falls, New York.
