Lizzie Bullock Mullins was born on February 6, 1933, in Tarboro, North Carolina, to the late Moses and Lizzie Bullock. She was one of twelve children born to this union. Lizzie transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on January 3,2026 at her residence surrounded by family and love.
Lizzie was united in holy Matrimony to Curtis Mullins Sr., and within this union six children were born: Curtis Mullins Jr., Steven Earl Mullins, Credell Mullins, Diane Mullins, Kenneth Ray Mullins and Debbie Mullins.
Lizzie was a woman of strength, grace, and unwavering love for her family and community. In her early years, she lovingly helped to raise her younger siblings, displaying a nurturing spirit that would define her entire life. Lizzie joined the Power House Of Deliverance Church in the 1960's under the pastorate of the Founder, Bishop J H Covington. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and was a faithful and devoted member of the church. After the death of the founder, Mother Lizzie continued her service to God under the current pastor, Bishop W L Washington. In her early years, Mother Lizzie enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with her family. She was also known for her fashionable style and always took pride in her appearance, carrying herself with dignity, class, and grace. She has a wonderful sense of humor and was kind, generous, an loving— a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
Mother Lizzie retired after many years of dedicated service from Belks Department Store a Guilford County Schools . Her strong work ethic and commitment were evident in all that she did.
Lizzie was a preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Sr, Children: Curtis Jr and Steven Earl, eight siblings: Ted Bullock, Thomas Bullock, John Bullock, Jessie Bullock, Lillie Mae Stanley, Ruth McKay, Lou Etha Lyons, and Geraldine Bacote. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, four children— Credell Mullins, Diane Mullins, Kenneth Ray Mullins (Robin), and Debbie Mullins; one sister, Clara Bell Jackson; Two Brothers, Robert Bullock (Cindy) Roosevelt Bullock; nine grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, a host of relatives, friends and her Power House of Deliverance Garden Cathedral Family.
A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, January 10 in Power House of Deliverance Church, 1800 Willow Road, Greensboro; visitation with the family begins at 11:30 am followed by the service at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
