Obituary
Larry Joe Whitsett, age 69, of Gibsonville, NC passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at Maple Grove Health and Rehab Center, Greensboro, NC.
He was born in Guilford County and educated in the public school system. His working career of many years was at Cone Mills in Gibsonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Clara Wiley Whitsett and wife, Lilly Bell Warren Whitsett.
He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Howard Whitsett, Jr. of Sedalia, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many relatives and friends.
A homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. John's AME Church, 6466 Carmon Road, Gibsonville. Visitation with the family begins at 12:30 pm followed by the service at 1:00 pm.
