The welcoming voice of our Heavenly Father called to rest our beloved wife, sister, and friend. Keena LaShay Farmer departed this life Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at home in Greensboro Nc.

She was born June 11, 1972 in Lynchburg VA to Samuel Carter and the late Mildred Laverne Smith.

She enjoyed cooking, loving her family, and taking care of people.  Most of her jobs consisted of janitorial work.  Residents depended on her even though she did not work directly with them.

Keena is survived by her loving husband Dennis Farmer, two brothers Tony Deon Smith (Glenda) and Kevin Trent (Tracy); a devoted Uncle Armistead Wendell Smith and Aunt Evelyn Smith, and two devoted cousins Thelma "Lucy" Turner (Tywan) and Troy Taylor; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service is 1:00 pm Saturday September 11, 2021 at Hat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery 6442 Hat Creek Road  Brookneal, VA 24528  Hargett Funeral Service is assisting the family.
