IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jurnee Snow
Shoffner
May 29, 2016 – July 12, 2022
Jurnee Snow Shoffner passed away on July 12, 2022 at the age of 6, surrounded by family.
Jurnee was born in Greensboro, NC on May 29, 2016 to adoring parents, Sherone and Latasha Shoffner. She was always the brightest light in the room. Her energy and smile was infectious. Jurnee truly lived every day to the fullest, and you never had to wonder what she was thinking; she would always tell you. It was frequently said that she was beyond her years, and that is truly an understatement. Her ability to hold a conversation with anyone and fill them with joy was her superpower. Her sassy personality and fierce determination made her impossible to slow down. Even after a recent diagnosis of diabetes, Jurnee amazed everyone around her by her strength and resilience in managing her own illness.
She enjoyed spending time and partying with family and friends. She was a natural-born helper and absolutely loved entertaining babies and children younger than her. Music was a daily part of life, finding joy in singing and dancing some of her favorite songs. Jurnee was in her second season of dance/gymnastics and absolutely loved it. She was a girl excited to be anywhere that involved water. She enjoyed pools and beaches and showing off her swim skills. She also loved making plans with her best friends, Halle Clay and Karter Lovett, and finding new adventures
Jurnee's memory will forever be cherished by her parents, Sherone and Latasha and her brother Jamier, her grandparents Willie and Mae McDuffy of Staley, Tina and Steve Shoffner of Liberty, paw-paw Tony Martin of Burlington, uncle Jerell McDuffy of Staley, godmother Lakisha "Keesher" Farrar of Liberty, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A homegoing celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 in Providence Baptist Church, 1106 Tuscaloosa St, Greensboro; visitation with the family begins on at 11:30 am followed by the service at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
