IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Ervin

November 4, 1957 – September 9, 2020
At the early age of 63, of Winston-Salem, NC departed his fleshly place on Earth. He was called home to his eternal rest on September 9, 2020.
John was born on November 4, 1957 to the late John Sr. "Hound" and Barbara Cade "Barbie" in Harlem, New York. He was the oldest of two sons of the Cade family. He is passionately called "Daddy" by six of his very own children and "Pa Pa John" by his grandchildren.
John attended New York City School Systems ending his education at a 10 th grade level. He later returned to get his GED. Then he ventured out at the age of 19 and joined the United States Marine Corps (USMC). During his service career he held many titles such as Lance Corporal (LCPL), Rifleman, Chief of Boat (CoB), 1 st Battalion 4 th Marine United States Marine, Fleet Marine Force Pacific (FMFPAC) FORTRPS on the Marine Corps Base in Palms, CA. In 1978, he was honorably discharged and began his life's journey.
John was a Jack of all trades. He worked security for a while. He did electrical and HVAC work, tradesman welder of Newport News Shipyard, forklift driver for Kerr Glass, Pepsi Company, and Coca Cola Distribution. He retired at the age of 62 and continued to work part time.
Our beloved one John was well known for his loud music and took much pride in the care of his old school records. He had the funniest laugh and a smile that stretched from ear to ear. He also loved his colognes and oils to keep him smelling fresh. John was a DIE HARD New York Giants and New York Knicks fan.
With the sudden gaining of his wings, our Angel leaves to cherish his most memorable moments: wife, Rosemary Cade; children, Theresa Scott (Antonio), Walter Cade, Barbara Cade Huskey, Evelyn Everette (Clarence), John Cade III (Tiffany), Vincent Cade; stepdaughters, Ericka Lindsey and Kenya Speller; mother in law Velma Windsor; father in law, Walter Bishop, 20 grandchildren; Brother, Bobby Cade(Victoria); 3 nephews; 1 niece; 3 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins; and special friends, Donna Overton, Timothy Harrell, and Clyde Everette Jr.
A private homegoing celebration will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 at 11:00 am at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Boulevard, Salisbury, NC 28144.
