Obituary
Greensboro - Mr. James "Sonny" Barrett, Jr., passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 12:30 PM in the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 East Market Street. Family visitation will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley A. McClain, and his brother, John "Henry" Barrett.
Sonny leaves to cherish many fond memories: son, Lance Wilder; two loving and devoted nieces, Mrs. Erica Carmichael (James) and Ms. Samantha McClain (Phillip), 3 great-nieces, Charrise, Mia and Kiara; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and numerous friends.
