Obituary

Isabelle M. Brewster was born on May 14, 1922 to Joseph Miller, Sr. and Bessie Miller of the home of Greensboro, North Carolina.  She departed this life on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Isabelle grew up in Greensboro and attended Greensboro Public School.  She attended St. James Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member who truly loved the Lord.  She worked at L. Richardson hospital where she retired.

She loved her family and she loved to cook.  She was the mother, aunt, grandmother, whom you could talk to about anything.

Isabelle was the second of 16 children and was the only one left.  The Miller children were close and now she is in Heaven with all of them including her two daughters, Raynell Warren and Evelyn Waits.

We had her for 98 years which is a blessing and she is in no more pain.  She saw a lot in her years, but seeing the first black president and first black female vice president was very important to her.  She will be missed.

She is survived by daughter, Pamela (Douglas); granddaughter, Janice Crump; grandsons, Tony McCray (LaBrecka) and Quintin Stover; great grandchildren, Anthonette Crump, Isaiah McCray, Matthew McCray (Dionne), Nicholas McCray, and Jay Mitchell; great great grandson, Andrew McCray; special friends, Diresa Warner, Betty Graves, Maurice Bailey, Marvin Besix; and other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 1 at Hargett Funeral Service, Inc., 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Hargett Funeral Service, Inc. is assisting the family.
