Gertrude Gibson Crouch 87, died on September 30, 2021 at Hospice House of High Point. She was born June 8, 1934, in Jamestown NC, the daughter of the late Louise Gibson Hicks and Vernon Gibson.

She attended Florence School. She was married to the late Benny L. Crouch for 47 years. Gertrude was a housewife and an elegant lady that enjoyed going to McDonald's every morning while she held up traffic driving to get there. Gertrude enjoyed her daily shows The Price is Right and I Love Lucy just to name a few.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Annie Mae Gibson; brothers, Billy Gibson, Raymond Gibson, Edgar Gibson, Edward Gibson, and James Gibson.

Surviving are two sisters, Ida B. Fuller of High Point and Grace Watkins of High Point; three sisters in laws, Dorothy Gibson of High Point, Carrie Fitzgerald of Winston-Salem, and Evelyn Crouch of Greensboro;19 nieces and nephews, 23 great nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews; a host of cousins and neighborhood family; and a devoted caregiver, Lorraine Gibson and her pet dog Bentley.

Public viewing of Mrs. Crouch is 12 noon - 5:00 pm Friday October 08th in Hargett Funeral Service 905 East Market Street Greensboro, NC. Visitation with the family is 12 noon Saturday October 09, 2021 in The Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel of Hargett Funeral Service, the funeral begins at 12:30 followed by burial in Guilford Memorial Park 6000 West Gate City Blvd Greensboro, NC  Livestreaming of the service is available.
