George M. Widemon, Jr. 81, passed away on February 2, 2026 at Moses H. Cone Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Widemon was a native of Greensboro, NC and attended Guilford County Public schools. Following graduation from Dudley Senior High School he entered the United States Air Force where he served honorably. He was trained in computer technology and used his skills as a computer technician at the former textile giant Burlington Industries.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Manuel Widemon and George Widemon Sr. He leaves to morn his passing a loving sister Bonita LaVern Batten and a host of relatives and friends. A remembrance ceremony will be held at a future date. Contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Greensboro. Services were provided by Hargett Funeral Services of Greensboro, NC.
