Obituary
GIBSONVILLE — Mr. Fred Lee Mackey, Sr., 82, was called to eternal rest on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Wesley Long Community Hospital.
He was born October 4, 1929 in Fairfield, NC to Napoleon and Geneva Mackey. He was a faithful member of Coliseum Blvd. Church of Christ. He retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline C. Mackey. He is survived by their children; Geraldine M. Burnett (Clayton), Fred L. Mackey Jr. (Brenda) Theresa L. Mackey and Lamont Mackey (Victoria), 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Sharpe Road Church of Christ. The family will receive friends at 11:30 a.m.; the service will follow at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington.
