GREENSBORO — On November 7, 2012 the Lord of mercy came into our midst and gave eternal rest to our beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Fannie Knight Gilchrist.

A funeral will be Monday, November 12, 2012 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church. Family visitation begins at 12:30 p.m. with the service at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.

Left to cherish her loving memory are: daughter, Carolyn Gilchrist Crocker; sons, Major, II and Kevin L. Gilchrist; grandchildren, Monique D. Crocker and Theodore L. Crocker, II; great-grandson, Elijah Crocker; daughter-in-law, Bonita T. Gilchrist; sisters, Mamie Bevel, Beatrice Owens and Jessie Mae McKnight; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; very special friend, Abe Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
