Obituary

Ethel Bailey Foster, also known as "Connie," transitioned from her home to her heavenly resting place on October 8, 2018.

Connie was born May 1, 1963 in Greensboro, North Carolina to Samuel Bailey, III and Mamie Shamberger Bailey. She graduated from Ben L. Smith High School in 1981.

Connie was very social. She loved cooking, fishing, reading, and being outdoors.  There was nothing that she loved more than being with her family.

She was a lifelong member of Reid Memorial CME Church. She sang in the Youth Choir, served on the Steward Board, Board of Christian Education, and was Chairman of the Kitchen Committee. She worked for Flowers Baking Company for 17 years and for the Guilford County School System for 1 year.

Connie is preceded in death by her father, Samuel Learon Bailey, III and her brother, Samuel Learon Bailey, IV.

She leaves to cherish her memories mother, Mamie Bailey; daughters, Rudie Nichole Foster and Samantha Leavette Coppadge; aunt, Eva Horne; nephew, Jamie Cunningham; great nephew, Jace Cunningham; special friends, Kelly Rister, Sheila Cunningham, and Jeanette Scott; and a host of other relatives and friends.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith, Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all that also that love his appearing.
~2 Timothy 4:7-8
