Eric Keith Baggett was born to the late Terry Womack and Mrs. Della J. Baggett on January 13, 1970. Eric was born and raised in Long Beach, NY where he excelled in Basketball for the Long Beach Marines Varsity team. After graduation from High School, Eric sought out higher education through a basketball scholarship with Barber Scotia College in Concord, NC. Eric eventually transferred to North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC where he continued his studies and made Greensboro his home.

Eric was a career health care and security professional the majority of his career being employed with Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC until his health started to decline. Eric attended the Mount Zion MB Church and was a mentor to many. Eric will forever be known for his sincere generosity and ability to assist others during their time of need.

Eric was predeceased by his father and brother, Cedric Womack and survived by his mother, Mrs. Della Baggett of Magee MS, six children, daughters, Ms. Ericka J. Baggett of Long Beach NY, Ms. Courtney Baggett of Far Rockaway NY, Ms. Arissa Baggett of Long Beach NY, Ms. Shebhane Hardy of Greensboro NC, Ms. Delores Whitseh of Greensboro NC; son, Mr. Jyece Baggett of Greensboro NC and grandson, Mr. Kyree; brothers, Mr. Kendall Baggett of Richmond CA, Mr. Donald Baggett (Sonja) of Newark DE, Mr. Kevin Baggett (Miranda) of Fayetteville NC, Ms. Daphne Baggett of Richmond CA; two special aunts, Mrs. Lucile Norwood and Ms. Laura Womack; special close friend, Ms. Ashley Burrell and host of loving aunts, uncles cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Visitation with the family begins at 1:30 pm followed by the service at 2:00 pm. at the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro.
