GREENSBORO - Mrs. Emmie Cason Douglas, 90, departed this earthly life Monday, April 9, 2012 in Charleston, SC.
Mrs. Douglas was predeceased by her parents and husband, James H. Douglas, Sr.; two brothers and six sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing: sons, James "Billy", Jr. (Marietta), Greensboro, Lester (Arlene), Jamestown and Charles (Pam), Greensboro; daughters, Vagella Smalls (Whaley), Charleston, SC, Patricia Kerns (Scott), Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Wilhelmina Cason, Morven, NC; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Homegoing Service will be Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Mt. Olivet AME Zion Methodist Church, 2123 McConnell Road, Greensboro, NC 27401. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. and the service begins at 11 a.m. The family will receive visitors at 931 Borders Terrace.
Interment will follow in Gatewood Station Cemetery, Gatewood Station, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Mt. Olivet AME Zion Methodist Church.
