GREENSBORO - Mrs. Elveta Ruth Feemster Jones, 91, passed away December 26, 2012 in Macon, GA.
Mrs. Jones was born to the late Rhett and Lillie Poindexter-Feemster in Cincinnati, OH. She was married to the late Norman N. Jones, MD. One son, Norman N. Jones, III, preceded her in death.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Sociology from Bennett College. She was a GED instructor for over 22 years at Guilford Technical Community College. She was a member of Saint James Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Jones leaves to cherish many wonderful and encouraging memories: sons, Harvey A. Jones, MD and Frederick W. Jones, both of Macon, GA; four grandchildren; one great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Hargett Funeral Servce. Funeral service is 12 p.m. January 5, 2013 in Saint James Presbyterian Church, Greensboro. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Winston-Salem, NC.
