Mrs. Elnora Foust McCrimmon, affectionately known as “Tug” by her family, was born on July 27, 1946, in Guilford County. Her earthly journey came to a close on September 8, 2026, at AuthoraCare Hospice in Burlington, North Carolina.

Elnora attended Guilford County schools and graduated from Sedalia High School. After graduation, she continued to make Guilford County her home. She accepted Christ at an early age at McLeansville First Baptist Church and later transferred her membership to United Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. For many years, she faithfully served as a choir member until her health began to decline, and she remained a devoted member throughout her life. Elnora held several positions during her working years, with her final employment at Rego in Elon, North Carolina.

As a young woman, she married Charlie Lee Saunders, who preceded her in death. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Tonya Saunders-Jackson. Later in life, she married John D. McCrimmon, her husband of 55 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, John D. McCrimmon; her daughter, Tonya Saunders-Jackson (Johnny/Terry) of Burlington, North Carolina; her granddaughter, Trinity L. Jackson of Burlington; her sisters. Alva Ann Cook of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Alean F. Hines (Ricky) of Sedalia, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, and devoted friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Sr. and Jessie Foust; her sister, Janice Troxler; her brothers, Alfred Foust, Jr.and Johnny Foust; her nephews, Terry Cook and Raymond Troxler; and her niece, Justina McManus.

Public viewing of Mrs. McCrimmon is 12:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. Saturday the 12th in Hargett Funeral Service 905 East Market Street Greensboro, NC. Visitation with the family and Homegoing Celebration are 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. respectively Sunday September 13, 2026 in United Friendship Missionary Baptist Church 2501 East Wendover Avenue Greensboro, NC; interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park 4039 South Church Street Burlington, NC.
