Donald Keith Owens was born November 15, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York.  He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in Morrisville. Donald began his education in the New York Public Schools System and finished his high school education in the Prince Georges's Public School System at Northwestern High School.  He loved working in uniforms and with special training became a Capitol Police Officer in Washington.   He relocated to Morrisville NC and worked as a postal employee for the next twenty-five years and was working when he passed away. Donald leaves to cherish his memory his mother Renee Sandidge (Maurice), and a person he helped raise like his own son, Julen Dunston: His father: Donald Carter. His grandmothers Louise Henderson Owens and Josephine Carter and a host of aunts' uncles and relatives.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, October 20 in Hargett Funeral Service, Inc., 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm.

A homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, October 21 in First Baptist Church, 210 Village Drive, Lexington, NC; visitation with the family begins at 10:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, NC.
