On the morning of March 3, 2017, the Lord called home our beloved son, Dennis Myron Hinton. He was born December 8, 1966 in Greensboro, NC. Dennis was a loving and devoted son and father to all of his kids. He was a very kind and loving person, who always wore a smile and had a great sense of humor. Dennis loved people and was loved by all those who knew him.

Dennis attended James B. Dudley High School, where he graduated in 1985. After graduation, Dennis was employed for several years by MGM Trucking Co. He later worked for Seager Basement Waterproofing Co. At the time of his death, he was employed by CB&H Constructing Inc. as a security guard. Dennis joined at an early age and was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Dennis is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frances L. and Colin A. Jackson Sr. and Pearline Hinton; two cousins, Jerry F. Jackson and Kecia Tate; two aunts, Dorothy A. Wright and Amelia Hinton; two uncles, Colin A. Jackson Jr. and Thomas Crawford.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: parents, Willie and Mary Hinton, four loving and devoted daughters, Sasha Hinton, Starr Nelson, Xinese Hinton and Xilayia Hinton, two loving grandchildren, Amora and Maxx Cauthen; two sisters, Tracy L. Hinton and Nickey Alston; one brother, Tony L. Hinton; five aunts, Betty King (James), Sara Bullock, Ruth Neely (Horace), Rosa Hinton and Bobbye Tate; twelve first cousins, Joseph P. England Jr., Lemont T. Crawford (Mechelle), Jerome W. Crawford (Walidah), James A. Jackson, Damieon Wright (Bonita), Telly Wright (Shawanda), Angela and Bonita Dunlap, Carla and Jennifer Hinton, Arthea Perry, and Charles Tate; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

Dennis was a man of great faith with love for God and his family. He will be greatly missed.

A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 408 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Greensboro. Visitation with the family begins at 2:30 pm followed by the service at 3:00 pm.
