Deborah Percell, a beloved sister and cherished friend, passed away on December 8, 2024, in North Carolina. Born on October 5, 1953, to the late Mary Lou Goldston and Walter Hubert Cotton of Goldston, NC, in addition to her parents Goldia Brown and Bettie Lou Cotton. Deborah was a beacon of kindness, generosity, and compassion throughout her life.
Deborah's life was a vibrant tapestry of love and dedication. Her greatest joy was found in her faith, her family, and her community. She was deeply involved in her church, with groups such as the Care Team, Outreach Program, Women with Hope, and Hub for Hope where her spirit of service and warmth touched many lives. Traveling and spending time with her family were her favorite pastimes, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Deborah leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished by her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. She is survived by her son, Charles Percell (Amanda) of Chandler, AZ, daughter, Adrienne Percell of Charlotte, NC, and son, Anthony Percell of Sanford, NC; siblings, Betty Jean Graves of McLeansville, NC and Walter Cotton (Lucille) of Carthage, NC; grandchildren, Charles Percell Jr (Page) of San Diego, CA, Charlene Percell of Hinesville, GA, Nia Graf of Nurnberg, GE, Nadia and Cameron Johnson of Charlotte, NC, Janaysa, Kamron, A.J. Percell of Greensboro, J'Maurri Logan of Reidsville, NC along with great-grandchildren Eloise Mae, Emelia Page, Kahealani, Ariya Percell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will forever hold her in their hearts. Special nieces and nephews to note- Diresa Warner, Goldia and Galina Brown, Michael Cotton, Eric Raeford; and Terrence Cotton; and a warm and caring family friend/father, Michael Ashe.
Deborah's faith was her guiding light, and she now rests in the embrace of the Lord, her spirit soaring in eternal peace. Her family finds comfort in the promise of a heavenly reunion, celebrating a life well-lived and a love that will never fade.
Public viewing is 12 noon - 5:00 p.m. Sunday the 15th in Hargett Funeral Service 905 East Market Street Greensboro, NC. Visitation with the family and funeral service are 11:30 a.m. and 12:Noon respectively Monday December 16, 2024 in Evangel Fellowship Church Of God 2207 East Cone Blvd. Greensboro, NC 27405.
