Deborah (Debbie) Denise Banks Nimashaun, 62, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on September 18th, 2026, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Debbie was born on December 8th, 1963, in North Carolina to George and Catherine Banks. After attending Dudley High School in Greensboro, NC, she cultivated her love for cosmetology and attended beauty school at Wilford Academy in New Jersey. She later relocated back to Greensboro, NC, where she devoted her life to family and helping those in her community and completed a brief stint working in the textile industry. Deborah was an active member of True Salvation Christian Fellowship and loved hearing the word and fellowshipping with her church family.

She loved spending time with family, watching movies, reading, and connecting with people from all walks of life, and she gave generously of her time to anyone in need.

She is survived by Catherine Banks of Greensboro, NC (mother), Michael Banks Sr. of Wilmington, NC(brother), George Banks Jr. (Kathleen) of Kernersville, NC (brother), Michelle Banks of Winston-Salem, NC (sister), Effie Banks-Gibson of Franklin of Township, NJ (Charles) (sister), Elizarea Banks-Martin of Bridgewater, NJ(sister), two sons, Michael Banks Jr. (LeGarria) of Greensboro, NC and Everett Banks (Sabrina) of Los Angles, CA, Trinity Banks of Greensboro, NC (niece), Aubrianna Banks of Los Angles, CA (granddaughter), C’miya Banks of Greensboro, NC (granddaughter), Melody Banks of Greensboro, NC (granddaughter), Logan Banks Greensboro, NC (grandson) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and close friends near and far. She was preceded in death by her father, George Banks, and her sister, LaWanda Banks.

Public viewing of Ms. Nimashaun is 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Saturday the 26th in Hargett Funeral Services 905 East Market Street Greensboro, NC. Visitation with the family and funeral service is 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. respectively Sunday September 27, 2026 in True Salvation Christian Fellowship 1901 Spencer Street Greensboro, NC.
