IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Marble
Harrison
February 8, 1951 – June 10, 2023
On June 10, 2023, God called home a beloved mother, wife, and friend. Deborah Marble Harrison was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Nathan and Helena Marble. She graduated from West Catholic High School in Philadelphia where she was able to continue building principles of faith that were introduced by her mother during her childhood years. Upon graduation from high school, she attended North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro, NC where she met the love of her life, Linzy Dalton Harrison, Jr., who preceded her in death. She began her college journey in 1969 and was part of the graduating class of 1973. Shortly after graduation she was employed by the Guilford County Department of Social Services as a case manager. She committed herself to this role for 20 years and in 1993, she went back to her alma mater as an administrative assistant.
In 1999, Deborah found a new passion and love for caregiving. She was known for her compassionate, giving and caring spirit, and had a skill for making her elderly patients feel like family.
She continued to attend church and grew her faith in God.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Marcus (Zanita) Harrison of Greensboro, 6 grandchildren (Treasure, Avion, Marcus Jr, Trevon, Briana, Michaela), a sister, Dianna Lynch of Philadelphia, brother, Nathan Marble, Jr of Philadelphia, a brother in law, George (Nancy) Harrison of Asheboro NC, sister in law, Patricia (John) Moore of Charlotte NC, and a host of nieces and nephews, and friends.
