IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel Dewayne
Lee
April 20, 1971 – June 23, 2023
In Daniel's early life, he attended Calvin Wiley Elementary and Dudley High School. He completed his education at Job Corps. His passion and freedom led him to pursue and become a Certified Diesel Mechanic. The dreamer in him didn't stop there, he went to complete trucker training. "The freedom" he talked about when he drove trucks became a reality.
Daniel, a man of many talents, with a contagious smile, was a loving, giving, and kind-hearted man in spirit. He loved and cherished his family. His dreams took him on the road as a truck driver, he found peace and serenity in driving. He gave to everyone in his presence from his heart. "Danky" was real one, genuine as they come. Daniel will forever be loved and remembered.
He was preceded in death by mother, Fannie Mae Wideman; father, James "Cutrate" Wideman; brothers, James Wideman, Jr. and Robert "Duke" Lee, and sisters, Robin Ingram and Rita Ingram.
He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Ilaina Jackson-Lee; children, Ashley Lee, Rashawn Foxx, Tatiana Lee, Elijah Avant, Breanna Boland, Tyrese Lee, and Quinton Lee; 2 granddaughters, Aryss Lee and Arae Lee; 4 bonus children, 10 bonus grandchildren; brothers, Tony Wideman (Angela), Michael Ingram (Michelle), Doug Ingram, and Jabari Ingram; sisters, Zelda Ingram, Kim Ingram, Ebony Ingram, Lisa Ingram, and Ramona Ingram; special family/brother, Keith Siler, Michelle Siler, and Teresa Siler; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A homegoing celebration will be held on Friday, July 7 in the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro; visitation with the family begins at 11:00 am followed by the service at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Park, Greensboro.
