Crystal Renee Isbell, affectionately known as "Chrissy" by her mother, departed this life for her final resting place on October 9, 2021, after a two year battle with breast cancer; at the age of 32
Crystal was born in Guilford County, on December 8, 1988 to mother , Pamela Isbell and father Kenneth Hayes. She grew up in Greensboro, NC with her maternal grandparents George and Vernell Isbell.
Crystal attended Grimsley Senior Highschool in Greensboro, NC for a few years before deciding to attend Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, NC where she went on to receive her high school diploma.
She later attended Guilford Technical Community College for a period of time, where her major was culinary arts. She was also, employed in the hospitality career field at the Double Tree Hotel in Greensboro, NC.
One of the things Crystal was most proud of in her life is her six year old daughter, Addison Tate. Anyone who knows Crystal, knows that she was crazy about "Addi". Crystal and Addison shared a very special bond and enjoyed things like making arts and crafts, going to Chuck E Cheese and Bumper Jumpers.
Crystal was energetic, loyal, tell-it-like-it-is, "no" non-sense, caring, loving and passionate mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, Cousin, niece, aunt, and friend.
Crystal was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Hayes who passed away in December of 2008
She leaves to mourn, mother: Pamela Isbell; Daughter: Addison Tate; Sister: Alisia Waldon (Derrick); Brothers: Jermaine and Travis Isbell; maternal grandparents: George and Vernell Isbell; Paternal grandmother: Emma Jean Hayes; nephews: Erin Waldon, D'Markus Jumper, Christian Waldon, Dominique Waldon, Jordan Harrington, Cameron Harrington; uncle: Steven Hayes and aunt: Nina Cobb
A public viewing will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro. A homegoing celebration will be Saturday, October 16 in the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel. Visitation with the family begins at 11:30 am followed by the service at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Livestreaming of the service is available.
