Corey Toure' Shoffner was born April 19, 1971 to Deborah Kay Shoffner and the late Irving Simmons in Greensboro, NC. He departed this life on December 6, 2019 in Spring Hill, FL.

He attended Ben L. Smith High School and received his GED from Alamance Community College. After completing his GED, he joined the Navy and graduated from Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Illinois.  He was a trainer with the United States Sea Cadets.

In recent years, he settled in Spring Hill, FL.

In addition to his dad, Irving Simmons, Corey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Ava Shoffner.

He is survived by his mother, Deborah Kay Shoffner of Greensboro, NC; companion, Patricia Kashansky of Spring Hill, FL; son, Kelvin of Wisconsin; daughters, Ann-Marie of Wisconsin, Hailie and Olivia both of Florida, and Kaitlyn of Greensboro; and a host of aunt, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro at 12:00 pm.
