Clyde Staples, Jr. peacefully entered into eternal rest at 11:30 am on Sunday,  January 13, 2019 at Wesley Long Hospital, Greensboro, NC.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Persimmon Grove AME Church with family visitation starting at 11:30 am and funeral services beginning at noon.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Gina E. Staples of Whitsett, NC (Wilmote "WD" Gibbs of Greensboro, NC); son, Gerard Staples and his wife, Yvonne Herrera of Alexandria, VA; five grandchildren, Madison and Morgan Gibbs, Quinten, Donavon and Ava Staples; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends.
