Upon sunrise February 25, 1947, the late Clarence Glover, Sr. and Frances Glover welcomed their son Clarence Glover, Jr. into the world. On August 12, 2015, God in His infinite wisdom called him home to eternal rest.
Clarence, or as he most affectionately was known as, "June", was a faithful and trusted husband, father, brother, son, and friend. June graduated from Walter Hines Page High School in 1965 and was a retired employee of Guilford County Schools. After committing himself to God, Clarence was a loyal member of Church of The First Born, where he remained faithful until his passing. Beyond his love of the Lord, June loved fishing, family, and playing spades.
He leaves to cherish his memory a wife of 30 years, Hope Glover; children, Amber Glover (Demetrious), Favain and Valon Jeffires, Regis, Lushawn, Kenny, Shaynaio, Cindy, Shane, and Brian; a loving mother, Frances Glover; twin sister, Clara Tate (Robert); brothers, Ivory and James Glover all of Greensboro, Essex Glover (Valeria) of Winston-Salem, NC; a special grandson, Zuriyon Glover; special friends, Susie Chilton, Darryl Hurst; and a special brother-in-law, Darryl Jeffires; and a host of grand and great grandchildren, family and friends.
A homegoing celebration will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Goldie Hargett Memorial Chapel, 905 East Market Street, Greensboro, NC. A visitation will begin at 12:30 followed by the service at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
