Mr. Clarence "Smiley" Bethea, 82, of Greensboro, NC passed May 2, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Mr. Clarence Bethea was born December 19, 1937 to the late Mr. Wright and Hattie Bell Bethea in Dillon, South Carolina where he attended school. Later Mr. Bethea moved to Philadelphia, where he worked for Peal Blinding until his retirement. He later moved to Greensboro following a brief illness, where he resided with his son and daughter in-law. Mr. Bethea was a faithful member of Shiloh Holiness COGIC where he loved the word of God and his Pastor.

Mr. Bethea is preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory one son, Clarence Priest (Jennifer Priest), one sister, Deloris Rattley Mcinnis; three grandchildren, Clarence Daniel Priest, Christopher Priest and Christian Priest; and a host of nieces and nephew

Mr. Bethea will be available for public viewing at Hargett Funeral Service 905 E. Market Street  Greensboro, NC 12 noon - 5:00 pm Thursday May 07, 2020.  The family will have a private service on Friday.
