"The Boss," formally known as, Mr. Benjamin Franklin (Frank) Hoskins, was born in Guilford County to the late Mr. Zack and Naomi Hoskins on July 27th, 1936. On May 22nd, 2017, the Lord called him home and told him it was time to rest.
For years he worked in the tree cutting business. He was a fisherman and hunter, and he loved playing spades any time he could get someone to play. Frank was loved by many, and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Stanley and David Hayes; brother, Edward Hoskins; and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Womack and Ms. Mattie Watkins.
Frank leaves behind his spouse of 55 years, Mrs. Helen Hayes, of the home. He also leaves to cherish his memories: a son, Juan Hoskins (Pola) of Las Vegas, NV; seven daughters, Valeria Marie Raspberry, Dora Lewis (Willie), Avis Hoskins Sharon Hayes, Darlene Hayes, Patricia Hayes, and Janice Lewis (Steve) all of Greensboro, NC; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Troy Hoskins (Lucy) of Greensboro, NC and a host of nieces and nephews.
A homegoing celebration will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Garden of Prayer Apostolic Church, 2401 16th Street, Greensboro. Visitation with the family begins at 2:00 pm followed by the service at 2:30 pm.
